Do you go to a church building, watch it on television or over the internet?

I grow up in church, my mom would drag me off to church every Sunday and whenever there was a special convention in town for her favorite preacher, we would attend. We didn't have a car at that time and we would often walk to church. That was decades ago, now my mom is gone and I attend church through a variety of avenues now, since technology has made it so simple. I rarely go to the church building, but I mostly attend via the internet and over the television. We do take our children to various church activities and functions at our local church building, but mostly via the internet? Do you attend church via the building, television, over the computer, or do you attend church at all?

I don't attend like I used to but I am a member of the same church that I was baptized in many years ago.. I do however, when I can, attend a small country church located in Sevierville, TN.. Our best friend is the pastor there, but he was our assistant pastor in our home church.. I haven't watched any preaching over the Internet as I am not a very trusting person and I wonder about the preachers.. Most that I have seen are more interested in getting the collection plate passed that in the preaching, this has been my experience.. About 20 years ago, when my son was about 6 or so, I used to watch and listen to Jimmy Swaggert on TV while getting ready to go to church, he was "giving" away Angel pins and my son saw it and told me that he would like one to wear, so I called the toll free number.. They took my information, then tried for about 10 minutes to get me to donate 100.00 a month, 75.00 a month, 50.00 a month, on down to 5.00 a month, all the while I was explaining that I could not afford to commit to another monthly bill, my husband had just lost his job and I was supporting the 3 of us on my small salary, so in the end, they thanked me for calling, they told me that my pin would be sent and that was the end of it, no money for them, no "free" pin for my son.. I felt that was a very dishonest tactic for them to use to collect money, and I have never watched him since.. He did get into a ton of trouble, twice I think, but I did think that he was a very good preacher.. I never watched him again after that as I still think that a man's word is his bond, and his promises were no good..

I have been going to a church building all of my life. My parents brought me up in church and now I am bringing up my kids in church. I have never really seen a church service on the internet before.
