I'm always looking for new ways to use my crockpot. Right now I have some chicken thighs in it with some italian dressing. Later I'll add some barbeque sauce to it. Does anyone have some other ways of cooking chicken in the crockpot?

I throw it in with all types of vegetables and then add biscuits as a topping to serve. Chicken pot pie.

That sounds like a great idea. Do you use biscuits that are already made or do you make them too?

It doesn't really matter, which ever is easiest.

I do that but not in the crock pot. I use homemade drop biscuits and top the "stew" and put it in the oven. I guess I never thought about doing this in a crock pot. Is the biscuit topping crisp or moist? I wouldn't want it too soggy on top. I will have to try it once my daughter brings my crock pot to me. It's been at her house for months now.

one of my favorite crockpot recipes for chicken is the following: 10 oz can condensed cream of chicken soup 10 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup 10 oz can of milk 2-3 lbs chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces sprinkle of salt and pepper, to taste combine all ingredients together in crockpot. cook for about 2-3 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low.

I've actually used the cream of chicken soup with it before but never the mushroom soup. I'll have to try it with that. Thanks.
