korean people's english is poor

I have been in korea for about 2 months.At first i am very happy that i can go abroad,but now i am very sad.Well,i assumed that there are so many Ameicans in korea,anybody who can speak english well maybe cumunicate with them well.Much to my disappintment,most of koreans can not speak english.To the contary,they some times even can not understand the most simple words like big,small.As a result,it is very sad for me to realize the reality.So,i must learn korean well,but korean is very diffcult to learn well,i should spare no effert to study it.Now,ican not interect with korean ,for my korean is limited.I feel that it is very misireble that i talk little because of the fact i can not speak korean.Do you think that korean speak poor english?Would you share your opinion with me?
