I'm going to finish my high school next year. I will be taking SPM next year. I don't really know much about education I guess. This is the problem that drag me to frustration. my ambition is to be a Veterinarian. I really don't know what is the next study after my SPM. I also don't really know where in Malaysia I can that those courses. I hope there will be a college or 'U' that around cheras area or just in selangor. That would be easier for me I guess. Anyone can help for my education and also let me know more about studies. I need more information..... Confusing~~~ frustrated~~~

There is a university close to Cheras where you can make further enquiries. Due to your confusion and frustration this fact escaped your mind. It is called Universiti Putra Malaysia, formerly known as Universiti Pertanian Malaysia. It started off as Maktab Pertanian Serdang. check: www.upm.edu.my all the best, rosdimy

is that the only place to be? But than I am not from a government school. I am currently in private school. Will UPM take me? because most of them said that the Government U is mostly open for government student first. And the chances for me will kind of low?

If i'm not wrong, having SPM is not enough to enter Year 1 in University. You have to study pre-u first. If you want to further your studies in government university, perhaps you need to study STPM or Matriculation. I'm not really sure about the government education system, as i was also from private high shcool and now i'm studying in private university. Too bad that my university does not offer the programme that you want. I believe government universities must have this major. I'm sorry that i can't really help you.

Yes, you have to do a pre-u or diploma course first. If we are to believe all the rumours flying around us we would not even step out of our homes. Several of my Chinese acquaintances (friends of my spouse) obtained their degree from UPM. There is no harm in trying, is there? Alternatively check www.geocities.com/malaycollege/selangor.hrml This gives you a list of colleges and universities found in Selangor. all the best, rosdimy
