All of my lenses are Sigma lenses. (Well, except my two Lensbabies.) They are excellent quality lenses at an affordable price. I don't have a Sigma macro lens, but when I buy a macro lens, it will definitely be a Sigma. I've seen great quality macro photos taken with Sigma macro lenses before. So yes, I would definitely recommend Sigma lenses! If you want to see example photos taken with any lens, just search Flickr! Type in the name of the lens you want (you can be as generic as "Sigma macro" or more specific such as "Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX DG macro") and it will bring up photos taken with that lens. (It will also bring up photos OF that lens so you can see what it looks like.)

It seems that Sigma is a good choice. I will tell my friend about it. I never know that Flickr can be used to search for lenses too. Thanks for the tips.

I honestly know nothing about cameras, so I cannot really help you out, I am sorry.
