Would it be against the rules at Mylot if you put your user name as a tag?

considering i keep having my discussions lost in the huge pile i have made (and if its in a popular interest or has popular tags it would take forever to find them) i was wondering if it was against tos if i put one of the tags as "moonlitmagikchild" that way i could do a search on myself and all my discussions would pop up.. considering there is people that have interest named after themselves i would think this wouldnt be any worse.. but im not gonna do it unless i am pretty sure it would be ok..
is there anything in the rules that would make that against the rules??

with my luck mylot would be in a bad mood or something and make an example out of me.. but i think im gonna do it.. i would think people that made interest after themselves would be more of a violation than just a tag

I didn't find anything against it in the rules or FAQ's. I know I've seen others do it, and their discussions werent' deleted. I think it would be okay. It's a great way to keep track of your discussions, other than going ot the 'started' tab. Happy mylotting.

i know i have made so many discussions i can NEVER find them later and when i go through and try to find them mylot like remixes them up while im searching and drives me nuts!!
i knew i should ask other people since i some how can read the rules and totally misunderstand or accidentally skip over an important one and not even know it... the great joys of having ADD!! grr!!

Um, you should be able to see all your discussions in one area without having to add your screen name as a tag. As MyLot gives you that option. Just look in those little tabs above to notice.
But to answer your question, I don't see how it could voilate MyLot's guidlines. I say go fo rit.

ive tried doing it that way for 7 months and some how every time i do it it will start out saying i have like 40 pages of discussions.. then when i hit next a couple of times and in the middle of that 40 it will say no discussions to display and it could be on page 2!! and then other times it mixes them up and old discussions that havent been replied to in months will be showing before the ons that got replies 2 minutes before and etc.. it takes hours and i some times still dont find them but they arent deleted because usually later on they pop up outta no where

I was thinking of the same thing as well. It is a real pain to have to remember the tags you use in order to find your own threads. And imagine, being here for years, it is near impossible to go thru pages after pages of my own postings and discussions started in order to find a particular post or discussion.
I have read thru the TOS and there is no mention of that being illegal here.
Maybe we should give it a try to see if it would be easier to find our thread or posts here.

haha cool.. i know now that i decided to do it i keep forgetting to do it lol.. how great is that!!! i swear every time i search the way mylot has it mixes them up then says i dont have as many as i had two seconds ago and i just wanna scream!

I don't think so. Because just imagine a member with a username "apple" and him discussing something about apple here and have to add it as a tag. I think it would be valid. Also if you take my case, my username is "vincemcmahon" who is one of the famous personality. He is the chairman of WWE and if I have to discuss something about him, I would like to add him in tag. But I think it sounds valid for me. Moreover, I never read anything saying that it is against the rules of mylot. Happy mylotting!

i could see if i was tagging everything i saw with my name but i think it will be ok if i just do my own discussions.. and it will save me a crap load of headaches later!!
