What is your favorite Pasta sauce and why? / myLot

I think Spaghetti is the most common pasta served on the dining table and it usually comes with red sauce, like tomato sauce with ground meat, sometimes with cream sauce as in carbonara, sometimes with herbs as in Pesto and Marinara. My favorite is Pesto sauce because I like my pasta green. How about you?

I have never tried pesto sauce, I really would like to try it though. I eat my spaghetti with red sauce every now and then. I like to experiment with different things with my spaghetti. Actually, today I created a way to prepare my spaghetti. I used pea pods and shrimp, it was really good.

Peapods and shrimp...nice idea. I have tried sauted shrimp and peapods with asian noodles, but with spaghetti it's something new.

I love pesto too, but also creamy mushroom and alfredo sauce are my other favortie sauce , I like tomatoes but don't like tomato sauces on my pasta :) Have great day and happy myloting!

Tomato sauces are my least favorite on pasta too. One thing is the sour taste. But dried and fried and mixed with bacon or dried fish or anchovies and parmessan cheese taste better for me. Thanks for sharing your views and have a nice day :)

Hi, I am Italian and I love pasta dressed with Italian sauces.... I live in Genova which is the city where Pesto was invented.. Unfortunately, I don't like it! :-P I prefer tomato sauce with mushrooms or meat.. or some creamy sauces, as mushroom cream that makes your pasta become white... I like hot sauces, and so I often cook "pasta all'arrabbiata", that's tomato with pepper and sometimes garlic.

I am a big fan of marinara sauce. I guess since most of the pasta dishes I like to eat use this sauce as a standard. My wife favors alfredo sauce, and I must say I like it too. I am not fond of pesto at all. I guess I like marinara sauce best because I am accustomed to it. I have always eaten it, and I know what to do with it when I cook.
