I don't know about that. What would you call them? Shihweenies?lol I don't think I would..sometimes crossbreeding can cause some pretty bad issues to arise.

Theres no reason to breed them, I dont see any point in bringing in any more unneccessary cross breeds into the world..He should have her neutered so it dosnt occur and she can be healthy.

I am a breeder of Shih Tzus, and I wouldn't recommend crossbreeding and especially crossbreeding those 2 breeds. Dachshunds and Shih Tzu both have short legs, and the breeds have totally different features that don't really work well together. Cross breeding alot of people are not found of, and also if you have never done any breeding before I definately wouldn't recommend it. There could be alot of complications being that the doxie is a smaller dog and shihtzu pups are not always small when they are born. If could possibly kill the doxie. I would not suggest it at all, but again the choice is yours, just giving you advice from a person whos been breeding for quit a few years. Shihtzumama

i don't think it's a good idea to cross breed those breed of dogs because they both have different features. just look at their physical features it's a mismatch. maybe a yorkshire would be better.
