One huge present!

I have seen front doors that look like a big gift but can't say I have ever seen a garage door wrapped up like a package. That is a great idea but I would never be able to do that with my garage door. We leave our garage door opened up a little bit because our cat likes to go in the garage from the house then she will go out front then when she is ready to come back in she goes to the front door and scratches. hahaha

Probably not. Is the house the present?

Hi Grandpa Bob! Those people must be perfectionists! I don't want to use any other vulgar terms because it's Christmas, but they do have it almost perfect! How do they get everything so perfectly line up and straight? Are they accountants? It was almost perfect except for that one light which I didn't notice until your daughter brought my attention to it, and now you must tell them to fix it or the perfection thing is gone! Maybe Minnie can break it to them gently since she's the one that found it!lol

Hi Grandpa Bob, I didn't want you to think I've forgotten ya, so just had to choose one of your topics to answer. I've been on and offline of late, 'trying' to get Christmas preparations done. Today I'm hitting the mall (finally,) so must get some sleep. What a lovely photo. Many people are so creative, and it sure adds to the beauty of the season. Are you 'all ready' for Christmas now? That garage door decorated to look like a package is so neat. I have never seen anyone do that before. I hate decorating the outside of my house for Christmas. My dad usually puts up lights but I won't do it. I just realized now how old this post is. It was suggested to me on the right of my screen when I was commenting on a recent post. I hope you are still active here at mylot. If not I hope you come back since they are paying again!

I love Christmas lights. My husband takes us around to look at all the houses every year. I think I have only seen lights done that way one other time. That was when I lived in Michigan. They made their garage into a gift. I thought it was neat then too.

I have seen large packages as Christmas decorations but none as big as the house.. I lvoe to see the wild and wonderful ways the neighbors decorate..

That is a awesome idea. I love how creative folks this time of year.. I find many things that folks come up with very amazing! I would love to open that gift and their be a nice new car for me for Christmas... I saw Santa in the store yesterday.. I got all happy just like a little kid.. I waved and said " Here I am ... I have been waiting for you all year... " he smiled and said Merry Christmas and was on his way... I guess that I will not get a early gift from him this year...

That is a beautiful sight to see GB, you have an eye for great Christmas decorations, being them yours or others. I am out of work now so I am going to see if I can get around looking at some of the Christmas decorations in my area. I did see the manager scene the city here puts up every year, it was flooded due to all the rain we got the other day. It is located in a low lying area and it got flooded.

That really is a huge present. They must spend ages getting it to look like that and it is all so neat and tidy. Does the husband do all this work Bob? I think it is beautiful and they really make an effort for Christmas. I wonder why people who do not even bother to put up a tree sometimes. They need the Christmas spirit.

I really like that. My mom used to decorate her front door as a present. She used real wrapping paper, and a huge bow. I don't know how she managed to do it, but it always looked nice.

A friend of mine used to do up her kitchen cupboard doors to look like presents, using ribbon and bows. I don't know if she still does as we haven't lived in the same town for years.

People certainly go out of their way to do some amazing and interesting things! A favourite in Australia is the stuffed Santa trousers sticking out of the chimney with the boots waving in the air. Aussies have a funny sense of humour!
