Avon and Home Interiors are both old and reputable companies. Both are entrepreneurial opportunities for anyone willing to put in the work to do it. I know lots of "Avon Ladies" but only one person selling Home Interiors products (at least did....I don't know if she still is). I would rather buy Home Interiors products than Avon. I would rather sell Home Interiors than Avon. Avon charges $10 to get set up and become a rep with them. $10 to start your own business! Pretty swell deal, eh? Home Interiors costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 to get started!!!! If I had $300 in disposable cash, I wouldn't be looking to peddle candles and kitsch to friends, family and strangers. I guess my question is.... Have any of you become a rep with any of these companies (Avon, Mary Kay, Home Interiors, Creative Memories) and was it worth the initial set up fee? Did you really make that back at your first party like they say you can?
