My daughter is in ballet and loves it, she's done it for 3 years now. She is also in jazz dance, but this is her first year doing that. Although there are a few boys in dance, I wouldn't sign my boys up for it, they're in sports instead.

Last year she only did tap... no ballet. This year she is just doing jazz, no ballet or tap.

I started off doing ballet when I was in 1st grade. I did it for one year and then switched to tap in 2nd grade which I did for one year, and then switched to jazz for 3rd through 5th grade for 3 years then my dance teacher retired so I stopped taking dance till I was 18 again and then took hip hop. I would still be in classes for something if I had the money so once I do get the money Im going to try different styles of dance to take.

haha, i was not in ballet because i'm a guy.. lol =D But i do like to see ballet dances.. They are so graceful whenever they dance.. hehe ^_^ Though those dance moves may seem easy to execute, but it's not easy at all.. If i have a daughter in the future, i will send her for ballet classes too.. Besides, learning ballet makes one's body more flexible too.. haha

I WISH I had the chance for ballet when I was a child, but at that time, it just wasn't an available opportunity for me.
I do highly encourage parents though to encourage their children to try to do it though, because it's fun, you learn something, plus, it's a interesting talent to inform your friends when you're older that you know it!
Like playing piano, or any other instrument.
Hrm....does anyone know what would be an ok amount to learn piano? like an hourly wage?
I'm thinking of asking a friend to teach him, but not sure of how much to offer him.
Any suggestions? CDN dollars please! He he.

My grandaughter does and she loves it ,she is five and does the january show ,we have seen her do it two years running first year she was an egg ,the sencond year she was a chick ,we have no idea what she will be this year probably a roast dinner according to my daughter. She is such a little performer she had her seventy seven year old great grandad up doing his pointed toes, she gets so cross because she is going to the trouble of teaching him and he won't do it properly,we do laugh bless her.
