I have an idea that a section of the Indian teachers are infamous for torturing their students without any consideration of their age and disposition. In the great epics of India, that is, in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, we find students named Aruni and Uddalok to be tormented by their teachers. I have an idea that India has been burdened with such tradition. But such teachers are not rare in the western countries too although they are very much condemned everywhere save India. Do you think it good to allow such corporal punishment in the educational institutes?

Educational Institutions are sacred shrines of learning and students are the fresh and innocent flowers offered to the lord of knowledge. Such being the relationship, how can one think of corporal punishment at all. I am of the opinion that the students are the tender, soft and subtle leaves of the beautiful fragrant flowers. You touch them gently and nurture them with love, kindness and understanding, and they will spread out their wings and give their best and turn these educational institutions into the abodes of Gods. Much can be achieved with tolerance, a little consideration and handful of love. So why resolve to violence?!
