How can i recover files deleted from my mobile phone?

I had accidentally deleted files i stored on my mobile and they are very much important i just want to recover them back, is there anyway i can get them back, is it possible? I mean in computers that is very much possible because i can do system restore and get everything that i deleted even in the recycle bin but it seems like in mobiles this thing is not possible
