What are some great things you've gotten for free?

Tell us about some things you've gotten for free. How did you hear about them? What's the story behind it if there is one? I think our best freebie was a riding lawn mower. It worked fine and we used it for a couple years until we sold it. The guy had put a free ad in the newspaper and my husband called. He said there had been other callers but since we could go get it right then and there we could have it. I was ecstatic.

Hi tuckerbabies. I got an iPod for free on an internet site. A friend of mine gave me a link and said he won a DVD player. I signed up and what I need to do is to send referral links as many as I can. Per person who signed up gave a combination number under my name. Its kind of lottery that everyday there's a draw for a combination number and the winner should purchase the money to whatever things equivalent to the money he wins. I did not shed any single cent and some of my friends who signed up as my referrals won too.

Wow. I can't believe there's actually a place like that out there. They didn't spam your email or anything? Most of the places that say they want to give you something for free make you sign up for all kinds of crap and then I get tired of signing up for stuff I don't need, or completing offers, that I just quit and try to forget about it.
