Can you give a clear and concise answer?

Many people claim they believe in fate. When something happens to someone else they say it has been fated. When asked for further clarification they say we have to have complete faith in God.
Do you hold to this assertion? Does this mean that it is alright for me to slap you because you have been fated by me? So it is OK for me to take your camera and claim it is now mine?
Can anyone give a clear and concise explanation to this conundrum?

fate allows many people an avenue to accept things that come in as a form of pain more than pleasure ...
If i did not call it to faith when you slap me .. i will definatly slap you back and it will create a fight ...
if i did not call it to faith when someone steals my camera ... i will definatly hunt the person and kill him for taking my property ...
how do you console a mother, who lost her son in the war ... ? you want to tell her people killed your son ... and aggrevate her sorrow , of course a better put word is "God loves him, he is fated to be with god ... let him go .. ??
It is the same with us, if we have a disable child , better way for us to accept is, it is our fate rather than sit and blame the partner for this to happen ...
Well i have not given the precise answer to your question as i am only giving you the reasons why "fate" is widely used ..
But if you must know deep on faith, you should read more on "Karma " and "Law of Karma" as it will explain to you the "why"

I hate to say this but I think your response raises more question(s) or issues. Based on your arguments the buck is passed to God. So it means that God is being unfair to some people. That is why some people cease believing in God.

my believe is in "Karma" and in "Re-incarnation" actually allows me to believe in "Fate". Karma is deeds good or bad .... judged by god ... the judgements is, where you are born, to whom you are born, how you are born, why you are born, when you will be born, in what condition you will be born, what are your fun in life, what are the sadness in your life and many more are already determined
God did not blindly give you pain and pleasure, it was judged based on your past life and your current life is determined. It is said 60% of our current life is going tru our "past life karma" or fate while the balance 40% is what determines the path you choose .. this will indeed decide your next life
this sometimes can be perdicted by qualified and honest astrologer will calculate it can be close but not acurate ...
This is not a religious ourlook but for me something i understand ... y, even though my mother is an angel and so kind, she goes tru hell in her life , nothing but her past life karma explains it well to me and i can accept ... her next life will be better for she has sacrificed her life for the children ...
