Would your respond to a discussion when it has a long number of responses ?

Just an observation, there are those who keep their silence and ignore some posts especially they saw that it has arrived certain number of responses. Personally, number of responses doesn't necessarily really matter to me, as long as I can comment or the topic at hand take interest on me. So whats your take, why would some mylotter prefer not to respond to numerous responses? or it doesn't really matter to you ? Have a great day !

Hello torchablazed! I looked at the number of responses too but it's not a hindrance for me to respond to a discussion. I mean, if that discussion is interesting, I don't want to miss it. It's a plus to my earnings..hehehe..

Hey torch! I'm with you! It doesn't matter to me how many responses that there on to a discusson! If I want to respond and have something to say I'm going to say it! If the discussion starter isn't going to answer they aren't going to respond to all of the people anyway and that isn't going to change my mind either. There are people that start discussions all the time that I respond to that never answer their discussions and they don't even get alot of long lists of responses. So as you say, if the topic interests me I'll respond anyway!

I don't really pay any attention to how many answers a discussion has before I respond. If I am interested or have something to say about the discussion or if I like the discussion, then I will respond to it. I try to respond to as many as I can in the time I have each day. So if they have one or 50 responses already, I will still put my two cents in!:-)

No, I am not like that, incase if the discussions topic, is looks attractive, i will select the discussions, and respond the same as per my view. Whether the discussions already got even 150 and more responses, i am not bothered about that, and also, if you give your response, out of 2 or 3 resonses, and get the best responses is ok.. You just imagine that, if you give your response for the discussions already got more than 150 responses, if you give your responses as 151th response, if your responses has been selected as the best one.. how is that will be?? So, I will defenatly resopnse the discussios, even though if got any number of responses, provided if the discussions topic should be able to give my point of view in different dimentions. For example you can take this discussions, already your (this) discussions got 76 responses, but still i select this discussions and share my view.. Have a good day.

I never look to see how many has responded to a topic. If it catches my interest then I respond to it and say what I have to say. If it really interests me I say what I have to say and then read what the others have had to say on the topic and maybe respond to some of their responses. Some times there is information that is important to the topic others have not thought of, or they are giving me ideas that I can use. It does not matter how many has already added their comments, it is does it interest me, then I respond to it.

Thats for sure the thing we have in common, I think what matters here the most we can earn at the same time, share that to the one we responded with.

I think it is a strange idea that we should not respond to a discussion after it has received x number of response. For me, the number of responses is never a matter of consideration for me when I decide whether or not to respond. If I have something to say, I just say. I am not bothered by how few or how many the responses to that discussion may be. Cheers!

Until you mentioned number of responses, I had never noticed that notation. I doubt that it will make any difference to me. If I'm interested, I'll usually respond. If I'm not interested, I'm not likely to respond no matter how few responses that person has had. I figure that few responses mean that few people were interested in the topic.

I agree with the last line, and to add up, I think it is really hard to come up with a topic that can caught interest people on.

Yes, I would indeed respond to a discussion of that type. No matter how many post it has, I would still respond to it if I feel I have something to say there. Moreover, if a discussion interests me , I would like to participate in it and have my say in it. Discussions are meant to discuss. No matter how smal or big it is. I will still discuss and post in it, provided if the discussion suits my interests. I think its always fun to share our views on anything, even if it has many number of discussions. Happy mylotting!

Thanks for the fun of responding here , yeah, I totally agree on you with that, what matters above all else is the fact that the discussion caught your thoughts .

I don't really take any notice of how many responses a discussion has had, if the topic is of interest to me I will add mine. MyLot is a most enjoyable pastime.

The number of responses does not matter to me. What matters is if I like the discussion and feel that I have something to give to the topic.

It depends on the discussion. If it is a question and it has been answered, I usually don't respond. Unless it is an open ended question of sorts. If it is advice or an opinion type of discussion, then I will respond to it. =]

i never really notice the number of responses a discussion has got and then accordingly post.... if i like the discussions and i think they fall into my interests then i go ahead and respond to them no matter what.... i knwo it gets a little difficult for the discussion starter to respond to so many people but some people i know respond to all the responses they get for their discussion the same way i do ..... i make sure i respond to all teh people who have taken the pain to respond to my discussions and atleast make them feel thankful

well exactly as i said..... this response of mine is the 64th response to your discussion and still you took the pains to respond to it.... many people here dont sometimes including me cos i mostly forget to do it..... thats why for me what is more important now is to atleast respond to the responses to the discussions i have started rather than hunting for discussions that i want to post to..... :P

Very well said, its the whole thing that matters around here - give and take action , post, respond, do the same to somebody else, then you both earn, its a win-win situation here you know, bless yah !

It doesn't really matter to me and I hardly notice the number of responses that a discussion has got before I respond to it. I choose a discussion that I like or am interested in and respond to it. The reason why some mylotters might not respond to discussions with lots of responses might be because they feel that the initial poster might be tired of the discussion and might not comment to their response.

I didn't mean to generalize...that's why I said 'some' MIGHT think so. I certainly don't. I was trying to think from the point of mylotters who don't respond when there are many responses already...not that I personally know anyone who does it...thankfully none of my friends on mylot do that.

Hello torchablazed, It doesn't really matter to me too. Whenever I want to respond, I don't look at the number of responses. First because I respond through my email notification so I can't check how many responses are there. Second, if I have something to say, I will respond and I love to dig old discussions too as long as the topic is still open for discussion.

I don't read all the answers. If some one ask a question I am interested in I respond to that. Of course this has gotten me in hot water because even thought some one liked my answer in part the felt I did not give the whole answer Sorry about that.

Heya!^_^ I do respond to those discussions that have many responses. However if I see that it already has more than 30 responses and the responses are good I might rethink of posting especially if I noticed that the poster would diligently comment on each responses made no matter if there were more than 50. I know how hard it is cause I had a discussion like that. But if its from one of my friends Id still respond through following the link in my mail. Of course I had no idea that it already had that many responses.. Still would be nice to hear from friends even if others have already responded right?^_^
