If I am the Principal of a school, I will have three things which will be my priority 1. Discipline - Discipline is one of the most important things which have to be taught in schools. Unless a person learns to stay within the bounds of the law, he will not be a good citizen. 2. Turnout - It is very important to be well turned out at all times. Dress makes a man. if you are properly dressed, you will always feel confident. 3. Punctuality - punctuality is one of the biggest casualties in modern day life. A lot of time is wasted due to delays. Young children must learn the vaule fo punctuality. If I can instill these three viruues in children as a principal, education will follow in the class rooms. What do you feel would be your priority if yo were a Principal?

being a principal is such a very big responsibility. and it will be hard to decide in what way to influence the school or the students for them to excel in their studies and to learn every thing that they will need to be come a better person. so i guess i think i will have to ask other first before i will make some things as a pricipal. i think that advice from people around me will help a lot for me to star grounded and to be able to connect with students and otehr people in school like school teachers.

Yours are definitely very good prioritys. I come from a family of teachers and my dad was for a couple of years the principle of an elementary school. One thing that they all tried to instill in the kids was how to be a good, kind and loving person void of judgements and accepting of differences. Both my father and my aunt got awards for making a difference in many students lives. They both spent a great deal of time working off hours with troubled kids. I think there should be a class just for this sort of thing. Maybe there would be less bullying and harrassement at our schools. It should start in pre-school and continue on up.

Hi mercury, If I am the Principal, I will be focusing on the following areas...a) Teacher's performance and qualifications, b) Discipline, c) and Consistency on the rules or policy I agree with the responder here that a Teacher who can motivate the students is very significant, in that way, less discipline problem will be encountered since the Teacher knows how to manage the class and being consistent also in the rules in that way, the students will really respect the authorities as well as parents!

It will depend on what the status of the school is. But if for example I can start on a clean slate with a school that is just average, I'd like my school to be known for its academic excellence. The teachers will all have to be very well trained and should have excellent credentials. But beyond their resumes they have to be able to connect with the students so that the students will turn out to be the smartest in town. If my students don't have the potential to become geniuses then I will be very disappointed. perhaps I will be gifted with a very good varsity team.. :)

If I were a school principle I would work toward making our schools safer and making sure that students dress properly, but (not) by making them wear school uniforms I would just make it mandatory for the students to make sure they dont wear anything to revealing, but they could still wear there own close, and the next thing I would do is make sure the school has proper education and discipline but most of all I would want to make sure the schools are safer and I would implement stiffer punishments for kids who bully other kids, and I would make better canceling available to kids that might need help, but like I said safty first, because what good is a school if a child or teen isnt safe, and cant concentrate on there studies due to violence or bullying and heckling from other class mates, I would have zero tolerance for that kind of thing.

I agree with discipline but to an extent...i would be friendly with the students...and most of all i would be quite alert on the standard of the school...must be well maintained and the staff should be the top class...the playground should be given priority and the environment should be maintained...trees and gardens would help in doing so....teachers must also feel like home...school must be like their second home..... Happy mylotiing!!!!!!
