Boy, was I embarassed!

I went shopping this morning at Burlington Coat Factory. I went there to get a necklace and earrings to go with my dress tonight for the Christmas party. I went in and picked out what I wanted, paid for them, and Tried to leave. As I was walking out the door, all the buzzers and bells went off and they stopped me! They checked the bag and I gave them my receipt. They asked me to walk through again, and it went off again! They had me do this about 4 times! They also waived the bag in front of the scanner by itself and it went off! By now they have me emptying my pockets in front of everyone! This store was packed full of people too! Finally the head manager comes over and checks the bag and see's that I have bought an item that has a theft devise into the packaging from the manufacturer! He tells me everything is fine and apologizes for the inconvenience! I get my bag and head out the door with it just beeping away! How embarrassing! Has anything like that ever happened to you?
