What movies do you think are absolutely beautiful to watch? I am not necessarily talking about movies that have plots that you like or great characters, but rather movies that you could still enjoy even if you had the sound turned off. My favorites would have to be: V for Vendetta Memoirs of a Geisha The Cell The Fall Pirates of the Carribean What are some of your favorites?

The first thing that came to mine is Jet Li's movie Hero. I find the movie just beautiful: the costumes, the colors, it was a feast to the senses. Two other martial arts theme movies that I think was visually delightful would be Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (the bamboo fight scene is just spectacular) and House of Flying Daggers (the part where she dances with the drums). There is also two documentaries that I would add to the list: March of the Penguins and Winged Migration. Beautifully shot and cleverly edited, nothing beats mother Nature when it comes to lovely sights.

Eye candy movies. Yes! There are movies that aren't particularly good, but I love watching just for their beauty. The Cell is one of those. Very silly story, but some scenes are stunning. I agree with one of the other commenters about Hero, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and House of Flying Daggers. One from Korea that I love is Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall...and Spring. That's really the name of it. One of my all-time favorites is Neil Gaiman's Mirror Mask. I also love the long shots of the trimaran in Waterworld. Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven and Blade Runner are two more. I could probably think of a whole lot more if I took the time. Oh yes, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, and Casshern. Practically anything by Peter Greenaway is beautiful, even if the stories are impossible to understand. Dark City. That's enough!

i love the harry potter series so I guess I would pick that. i first fell in love with the books so it's so much awesome when they were made into movies. though some doesn't meet most of the readers' expectations, i still think all of them were beautifully-made. looking forward to the next one next year, hope it'll be awesome.

"What Dreams May Come" I enjoy watching this movie, but I find that I enjoy just looking at it even more. It is just beautifully done.
