I was wondering if Rosetta Stone is the best way out there to learn a new language. Have you learned a second language? If so, what is your first and second (and more if there are) languages? Was it difficult?

Rosetta Stone really does look like cool software though it's also expensive. I've studied various languages, both in school and on my own, but haven't become fluent in any. It takes a lot of dedication and a serious time commitment to truly learn another language, but I haven't given up hope yet. When I get some time and money, I'll also get Rosetta Stone!

I just started using Rosetta Stone to learn Spanish. I need it actually for working with my father's business because many truck drives in America do not speak english. I can tell you that I took spanish in high school for three years and in the short few days I've been working on my spanish with Rosetta Stone, I believe I've learned more than I had those three years.

I tried the demo on their website. I'd love to try it, but it is too expensive.
