Fur vs Fang? Which do you prefer?

I'm a self-confessed paranormal romance books addict, and I enjoy reading this genre pretty much. Now, among the many coloful characters in this type of books, the most popular are vampires and werewolves. This lead me to the question, which kind of hero do you like to read about or which would you prefer? Is it going to be the dentally-impaired or the lunarly challenged? Do you get the shivers for the undead or the hots for the furry? It's like asking do you prefer Edward over Jacob? Jean-Claude over Richard? Vamp over Wolf? Personally, I lean more towards vampire heroes. I think they are the perfect bad boy...Geez, they get to sleep all day, party all night, and they get to play with their food..LOL.. So what about you? Cast your vote.

I love them both, but do prefer fanged over furry. I did like Richard over Jean-Cluade at first, til Richard went nuts. I have gotten fussed at for liking Edward over Jacob.

Richard irritates me..He comes off too whiny and hypocritical sometimes...LOL...I will always be on Jean-Claude's camp. Fang - 2 votes Fur - 1 vote

I have to admit JC is one wily, scheming vamp..LOL...but he is just so seductive, you just have to fall to his charms. Yeah, Richard at the beginning sounds promising, but his naive idealistic outlook got old quick..LOL..

In the very beginning i thought Jean-Claude was a little pushy and Richard seemed a decent guy. As the books progressed..he became unbearable. Half the time i wished Anita would just shot him and put us out of our misery.

My vote goes for the fanged badboys. To be fair, I haven't read many werewolf novels, so I haven't had the opportunity to let my imagination trip down the lupine path. There is just a very seductive lure attributed to the blood drinkers. Brad Pitt with fangs bared would get little to no resistance from me!And David Boreanaz!!! Can't think of many werewolves that made me want to howl at the moon.

True, there are more pretty vamps available whether on print or on film. I mean, as you pointed out, Brad Pitt and Angel! *fans herself* The only werewolf I can think of right now is Michael J. Fox in "Teen Wolf." Talk about a major need for a razor...LOL! Now its a tie between fang-face and furball...let's see who is the next vote for..

Well myself I'm more parcial to the Vampire life. Even though the werewolf has intense and heightened senses. They smell, hear, and see better than the humans.

True, wolves have heightened senses, but vamps have acute hearing and sense of smell too. Fang - 3 votes Fur - 1 vote

Although I'm partial towards Edward, I keep thinking how horrible it must be to be stuck in a 17-year old body forever, no matter how perfect it was describe...LOL..I mean, who wants to look like a teenager forever..LOL Oh, yes, I'm with you on Jean-Claude, and I second you on your assessment on Richard. Give me a good ghost story anytime, I don't really like the others, people transforming into animals is more psychology then paranormal i think. I do read murder romance, like J A Janice's stories and find them hard to put down.

Hmmm...a ghost hero?...that's an intriguing idea...the first time that comes to mind is Patrick Swayze's character in that movie Ghost...I can't seem to recall one in print that I have come across....Maybe you can give me some ideas.

not really that was just what popped into my overly active mind. If you're a writer you can steal it from me.

I think I'd vote for the werewolves. Ever since I saw "American Werewolf in Paris" years ago I always thought werewolves were cool. The fact that they can walk in daylight without having problems in their human appearances makes them all the more cooler. Don't mistake, Edward Cullens (the Robert Pattinson incarnation of it) was pretty cool and so was James, the tracker. However, I like werewolves more.

I have to agree with you about werewolves not hampered by daylight. They can actually have more normal lives than vampires. One vote for the furry camp..LOL

I'll have to go with the fur, there is something intriging about turning into something wild when a full moon hits. Howwwwwwl!

I vote for Michael. That way you get both - a vamp with a bit of a hair growth issue. Why choose when you can have your fur and get bitten too? Side note: I saw an interview with Robert Pattinson and he said after Harry Potter girls wanted his autograph and that made sense. Now women want him to bite them and he thought that was a little bizarre.

I'm assuming you are talking about Michael Corvin in the Underworld series? Oh my, my memory is hazy. I know he was a werewolf in the first movie, and I think in the 2nd movie, he became a hybrid (?). LOL...If he is, I guess, he gets to be both..LOL..fanged and furry..what else can we want..LOL..Oh...and yes the 3rd movie is coming out in January. As for Robert's comment...come on...biting can be fun..LOL..vamp or non-vamp..LOL..

I prefer vampires. For some reason I never liked werewolves in the books or movies. Vampires are just special because they live forever and they're usually hot. I like wolves, but a person turning into huge furry thing...not really. You can't even watch moonlight with them! lol
