How somethings change some remain the same

It has always been something that I have marveled at, change and it's ability to occur. Every second change occurs, whether we want it to or not. Every breath we take has the ability to change some aspect of life or it's environment. Sometimes such changes are for the better and at others they are not. I have not been at myLot for a while and as I was having a wander around friends discussions I wondered how much change had occurred here. I feel that the people typing the discussions may have changed but the topics are much the same. Life is busy and the Internet is full of places for people to gather and share thoughts. MyLot is just one of many to do just that. They are all fairly interchangeable really. Anyway what are some of the life changes that you have noticed? Either here in myLot or out in the real world or anywhere in between! What are some of the things that have stayed the same? ~ Fairy Wishes and Butterfly Kisses ~

In my life, nothing has remained the same. I think it is a law of nature for things to change. It is not possible to expect things to remain the same. Nothing is permanent, except change. Only change is permament. Everything else changes, except change itself.

Not only is change inevitable, it really seems to have a life of its own. One change causes another, which causes more, and before you know it, nothing is even recognizable anymore. I am going through a pretty big change- going back to work. It has become necessary due to a series of changes that have happened recently. I resisted the idea for a long time, because my going to work would bring about more major changes- most notably, my son going to daycare. But as I have gone through the process of searching for a job and daycare, and have had time to consider the different possible scenarios, I have come to terms with it, and believe it is the best thing for my family. I hope the changes brought about by this will still allow some things to stay the same, such as the time that my family spends together that I value so much. It may not be exactly the same way, but I hope it is enough the same.

The things I have noticed... We have added another 100 million people on the planet in the last 12 months... and still nobody cares. While we thought that we would not be able to afford the cost of petrol to run our cars... today in Australia... the price of a barrel of oil is cheaper than the price of a barrel of water. Go figure! Sydney was out of water and Melbourne had plenty of water. Today Sydney has plenty of water and Melbourne is out of water. But through it all... people have stayed the same... and I doubt they will ever change. lol
