Amazing!!! It happened...

Yesterday and the day before yesterday I did not log in mylot or get on line since I got many other things to do, but when I came back and tried to respond to a discussion, I found an amazing thing happened. Just next to my user name, there's a star which titled 7. That's amazing and very cool in my opinion. A star, you know, I have being intrested in this for a while and finally I achieved it. So, you can image how happy was I at the time. Hahaha... I just could not help laughing.
However, there is a problem that the last time I logged in mylot and responded to a discussion there's no star at all needless to say a star titled 7, now, I got it. Am I got promoted too fast? Or the star is just for me to own for one time and when I log in next time it will be gone?
I am very happy to see I have a star titled 7, but at the same time, I am also very curious about it. So, can some one explain this to me if you have got the right explanation? Thanks in advance.

congrats for crossing 100 posts. after 100 posts every mylotter is assigned a star rating ranging from 1 to 10 and is given on the basis of other mylotters respond to your discussions and responses. So, congrats on getting a star rating of 7. keep posting more better and useful discussions and responses and your star rating will increase. some people have got their star rating decreased too. they may not be posting or being active for many days. Whew! I thought what happened was you earned something despitof not working or posting discussions for 2 days.
Regarding your amazing experience, well you have earned or given a STAR with 7 on it because you have reached 100 posts already. That was actually the main reason. The 7 on your star is your ranking. When you place your mouse pointer on top of your star, you will notice a rating from 1/100. If am not mistaken, you are rated as 72/100. Such rating is done by mylotters who has been rating your discussions and responses. You can increase your reputation or rating by making friends and posting good quality discussions and responses.
