How often do you vacuum, clean your room/house?

The other day I was talking to an old friend. She wanted me to visit her but I really can't stand her place. It's dirty. She's cleaning the house once in two weeks!!! It's a long time and there's dust and dirt all over the place. I couldn't tell her that so I just told her I have to vacuum and clean my room and then cook something nice for my family. She got upset because I'd rather spend the evening with my hubby than with her. Anyhow, how many times to you vacuum your house? Do you do extra cleaning when friends are coming over?

I'm not the cleanest person in the world. There are some days when my house looks like a tornado has gone through it. However, I try to clean my house up real good at least twice a week. I like to do the vacumming all at once, so sometimes it doesn't get done because I can't get all the rooms done at once.

That's the way I clean since we have a 3 bedroom house, so it takes me a little longer. hehe

You don't have to clean all the rooms at once. We're living in a one room apartment and for me it's easy to clean. It's an hour work. But I enjoy it. I hate dirt :)

I try to keep my place clean all the time. I vacuum a couple times a week and my honey does the dishes all the time. All i really have to do is a little dusting which i hate to do. That's about the only thing that needs to be done at my place.

Hi there Missybear. So you also have a little help with the cleaning process. It's good to know that your man is giving you a hand with all the chores. Not many man do that :) Have a great day :)

He does laundry too, but that's not one of his favorites because he has to go outside to do that.

I have dogs. One thing that comes with the decision to have indoor dogs is the realization that vaccumming becomes a daily task. I'm okay with it it. Small price to pay for the companionship I receive in return.

Hello Makingpots. Yes, an indoor dog requires a lot of cleaning. But nothing compares with their company, I have to agree with you on that :) Thank you for your time here.

i would sweep my floor once a day and mop it once in 2-3 days as i have a young child and he is always running around the place so it is important to keep the place as clean as possible for his sake. If i have guests coming then i would do extra cleaning up and throwing away some unwanted stuffs. i just did a major cleaning up last night which explain my absence from mylot and i remove a tea-table, a side table and re-arrange my furnitures in my bedroom and living room. now it looks better and spacious which to me is important cos my son would not hurt himself and has a larger place to play in

Hi there Chiaeugene. I remember when I was a little girl and my parents used to throw old stuff out so there could be more space for us to play. Have a lovely day :)
