Do You Know Anyone Who Has Had An Organ Transplant?

In June of 2006 my Dad received a kidney transplant. He had been on the waiting list for several years and the day he got the call was a miracle. He had the transplant in St. Louis, Missouri at Barnes Jewish Hospital. I have to say they were all such wonderful people there. They were all very friendly. I am thankful to God and the person's family who donated the kidney for giving my father the opportunity to live a longer life. Do you know anyone who has had an organ transplant?

Oh how spooky is this, I started reading this post and on the TV at the very same time they started interviewing a girl who had just had a liver transplant and she was saying how a strange thing happened and now it may change things in the future for other transplant people with a little more research, they noticed with this girl her blood type I think they ssaid it was started changing to the same as the donor so they gradually took her off the rejection medication she was on and now her blood has changed completely and she is completely off the rejection medication and now they are going to look at things in a different way for some people who have transplants..

Oh wow! That is scary! My dad has had a few problems since his transplant but normally all they have had to do was adjust his medicine and then he's fine. Thanks for the comment!
