My neighbor son's funeral is over and now is the time to thank all her family and friends. She has asked me to help her with this task of filling out thank you cards and putting a thank you ad in the local newspaper. I told her that the best thing to do is to put an ad in the paper and thank every one once. She will never be able to remember all the ones that gave. And I would hate for her to leave someone out
.
This is the sample of the ad I am going to help her with.
The Family of_________wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the prayers, food, calls, and visits, flowers, cards, and donations during our time of loss. There are so many we cannot possibly mention them all by name. Everyone has been such a blessing during this time. May God Bless each one of you.

There is more but I am cutting this short.
How do you like this one?
Do you have anymore ideas or tips that will help with this appreciation ad of thanks?

I think that is very nice, your neighbours son must have been a very well liked young man, I know it can be expensive but a nice little photo with that could be a nice touc, some people like to have a photo to remember the people they cared for so much..that is very nice of you to help in this way...

I think that is really nice, very well worded. I think it is a better idea to thank everyone all at once; a lot easier at this sad time. My deepest sympathy to your neighbor.

I think that would be a very nice way to express their gratitude and is done often in my local paper,it is hard to remember everyone and this gets to everyone that reads the paper.Have a great evening.

how about this one...i just changed the words around and elaborated more on it...
The _________Family would like to thank everyone for supporting us and being there for us in our mourning period. Thank you very much for your love and support with all the prayers, food, calls, visits, flowers, cards and donations during this distressing time of loss for us. There are so many people that we would like to thank personally, but we cannot possibly mention all their names. Again, everyone has been such a great blessing to our family during this time. May God Bless you all.

Chevee, that sounds perfectly fine.. I am so sorry for your neighbor and for her loss, I can't imagine what she must be going through, I would not want to even try to imagine it.. You are doing a great service to her for helping her in this time of need.. I think that you have it all covered..

hi there Chevee! that is a very nice gesture and action from your neighbour. showing appreciation to all of those who sympathised with them, and to those who appreciated their son whilst he was still alive, is one of the best and nicest forms of gratitude to the people around you.
i think, like the other people who answered, a photo of the son would be great since it would help further immortalise the person into the minds and hearts of all the people who cared for him and his family. it would also help immortalise the person into the hearts even of strangers, since they will see that this boy was very special that the family had to thank everyone who sympathised.
this kind of gesture both makes the effort of everybody who supported the family much more worthwhile, and is a befitting tribute to this person.
may he rest in peace.

That sounds right nice to me. Go with that and you'll be just fine. That is really sweet of you to do this for the family of this young boy. May God give them the strength to carry on at such a terrible time. Let them know that we all care, please and we send out condolences and hope of a brighter future.

Hi chevee~I think that will do very nicely. I think that it
says everything that needs to be said. It is well written
and conveys all thanks for everything that everyone did
and I don't think that it is leaving out anything in particular.
I think that anyone that did help or contribute anything would
be more than satisfied with gratituitous note.
