I saw this on CNN's Headline News earlier. "Bush had just finished his prepared remarks in which he said the security agreement was made possible by the U.S. surge of troops earlier this year, whhen the journalist, Muthathar al Zaidi pulled his shoes off and hurled them at the president. "This is a goodbye kiss, you dog," Zaidi shouted."
White House Press Secretary Dana Perino suffered a black eye during the incident but Bush ducked in time.
What do you think about this? Here's the link to the video.

I would have frickin thrown them back at him. People have no respect for anybody anymore and Bush is guilty of letting the press say whatever they wanted about him and he did nothing about it. I would file assault charges on the jerk.

I guess people misunderstood what the reporter done. It would be a gift to show how much they appreciated the Bush operate. Shoes are expensive in Iraq, and are a really nice gift. Unfortunately the reporter not considered that George W. feet size is bigger than his own, so the gift will be useless.
Another meaning of this action could be that the reporter wanted show to G.W.B. where they "hidden" the massive destruction weapons that wasn't ever found. The smell! That's the chemical "secret" massive destruction weapon that finally Mr. Bush discovered in Iraq.

I saw that on the morning news today. As much as I was surprised at the incident, I am not surprised that some Iraqis really hate Bush. No offense intended to any American here but based on what we could see so far, Bush actions in Iraq starting with the invasion has brought nothing better for the Iraqis. In fact it has brought lots of misery where people are reported being killed everyday...
It is no surprise than when he was "awarded" with a pair of shoes to show how much some Iraqis appreciate what he has done over there. I wonder how it is like to live in Iraq but the daily news that we get on Iraq are telling us that there is no peace at all. The American invasion in only winning the battle and not the war and that is the same thing that had happened in Vietnam.
I hope that Obama would learn from these lessons and not repeat them.
Cheers!
