What method does your company apply as a punishment for being late for work?

If any of us in our company is late for work for no more than 15 minutes with a total of three times in one month, he/she will be given a warning and from the fourth time on, his/her salary will be deducted 15% from the basic pay. If someone is late for more than 15 minutes once, he/she will be given a direct deduction of RMB200(sometimes equal to a person's one-day salary). If he/she is late for more than 15 minutes and more than three times within one month, his/her salary will be deducted 25% from the basic pay an dwill probably be persuaded to quit by the company. I wonder what do you think of this method applied by our company as a punishment for being late for work? I think it's too strict for those who are often late for work since nobody knows how long the traffic jam will last every morning. But as for me , it's ok because i seldom late for work.
