Talk much or less?

As much as I know, there is a kind of people who do not talk too much in their real life, but once they get online they may just can not stop talking. And, to be honest, I am a person a bit like that since I do not talk too much with my friends or family members too much in my real life, but not too much when I get online either. Is it a common phenomena? Or that's just up to one's style or like? That's maybe not very important since there are so many people all around world. But I am just a little curious about it, can someone clear it for me? Thanks in advance and have a nice day.

I don't talk much both in online world and real world, but I can talk more freely on internet, because you don't have to worry about what others think of you, they barely know you.In the real world it's different, you have to be cautious about what you are about to say.I think a lot of people are like you and me,but also there is large number of people who is a big talker both in real life and in the virtual world.

Yes, I'm not good at talking. I think I'm a good listener that why many friends likes to talk to me. Maybe together with me they will stand out themselves. In fact I really hope I can be a talker not only a listener. I agree with you that I can express myself easir online than in reality. Is it a shortcoming?

At least there is place we can express our true feelings. But in the real world,we usually aren't who we really are,I think that's the shortcoming.

I talk a lot in both. I probably talk more about random things online to strangers because I don't know who they are and they have no idea who I am, so I can act like I'm someone else and it's easier that way. I think I like to talk a lot in person to those I'm comfortable with and I even start conversations with people I don't know. It's not fun to just be quiet and people think you're strange so I like to be open and friendly so that people will know I'm nice and an approachable person.

a reason to this question ,is that online talk is anonymity .
