I love collecting stamps. It is a very good and healthy hobby. However, I have stopped collecting stamps due to the difficulty in getting stamps nowadays since most people have stopped writing letters the traditional way. Most people are now using emails and the only mails that I got are from the banks and some companies and these mails do not normally have the normal stamps but just some post markings. I used to collect stamps when I was in my schooling years back in the late 70s and 80s. I used to have pen pals from many countries and therefore, I would get lots of stamps when we exchange mails. Those were among the best days of my life. Cheers!

I personally don't collect stamps, but my mom used to and she had books full of it. I never asked her why she began to do it. I think it could be because people used to send her a lot of letters and she wanted to keep some part of them and she hates keeping clutter around for too long so I guess she settled for the stamps. Since I was interested in them I began to look up some of her stamps on the internet. I suggests to start out that you should ask old friends and families about any letters that they have kept over the years and if you can have the stamps on them, and also you can go online and search for valuable stamps and keep on a look out for them online or by friends. I hope that helps a little.

When I was a kid, I used to colect stamps, but now not anymore... Probably I just got bored. I'm planning to sell all my collection on E-bay soon.
