With everything going on in school kids shooting kids because they don't like them. I know you can't keep your kids from everything, but wouldn't that help.

I really disagree with home schooling. If you want to use the summer to get them set for the upcoming year, that's great. But kids really need the socialization that schools provide, and they really need to learn how to get along with others without a parental influence.
I think the chances of your kid getting shot or stabbed are less than you having an accident while driving them to or from school!

If a child is homeschooled, it would feel weird for him/her going into college because everything would be different than being homeschooled and he/she may fall behind. However, if he/she turned into a genius through homeschooling, he/she could turn out way smarter than everyone else his/her age.

Home schooling is only better if they are actually learning more and they can pass the GED test to get into college.
Depends on how good the schools actually are in your area.
There are many things that your kids miss out on if they are home schooled - interaction with other kids, field trips, after school activites.
