well im a romantic person and i do love some old songs coming from the old artist. i do love to hear the mellow songs of barry manilow and even the songs of michael jackson. well for me it doesnt matter to me if the songs is old and new what matters most to me is that the lyrics and the tunes of the songs and the messages that they want to brought to the listener of the songs.

I don't care about the age of the music, either. If the music has a good melody and words that I can understand, I'm enjoying it. I suppose the works of Cole Porter (that's going way back) are my favorite. These are classic songs never grow old.

Yeah, I love to listen to old songs depending on my mood. One of the artists that I like is Bing Crosby, his great songs include White Christmas, Jingle Bells, Walking in a Winter Wonderland, Let it Snow, etc. I also like some of the songs of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. It is true that it does not matter if the song is old or new, as long as you can relate to the message of the music. :-)

Hello gaylalou. Yes, I do love to listen to old songs, most especially the songs during the 80's and 90's. I love listening to songs that have beautiful messages in it.

Julie Londa, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Dean Martin (underrated)... and of course maybe not romantic but the song "Harper Valley PTA" by Jeannie C. Riley. Not so old but GREAT: "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds Five, this song makes me cry. Regards

OOh yessss, I totally agree with you! Old songs are often so sweet and romantic, and full of meaning, that in the recent years we can't find in some modern songs. And old songs can make us remember nice past moments, past relationships, past journeys, places of our memories... I definitely LOVE old songs!!!!

Hi gaylalou. I agree with you my friend. Me too love to listen old songs. I have some records and CDs from Frank Sinatra, The platters, Elvis, Carpenters, Johnny Mathis, Paul Mauriat, Rod Stewart and some more. I don't care about what the others think I listen what I like. For me good music doesn't have age. Have a nice day.

I love the old songs, infact I love any song that has meaningful lyrics. I love Savage Gardens affrimation the best as it's lyrics are great. Some of the new songs have no meanings and some only have one line of lyrics the whole way through the song. Michael Jacksons songs where amazing. What a waste of talent though.
