Yep once again this christmas they are attaching a camera to the poor dog so that people can see the white house from "his" perspective" and the christmas decorations. Why do they do this to the poor thing. Did any of you watch any of the broadcast last year? Are you going to watch any of it this year? And we wonder why the poor dog is always so grumpy. Where is PETA when this poor dog needs them?

I don't get it... what is so abusive about putting a camera on a dog? Is the camera really heavy or something?

It's exploiting him for political gain and violating his right to privacy! Annie

I agree with you there. They are exploting hiim for political gain. Plus who really can see much of anything from "his perspective". He is a scottish terrier which is a small dog. So you are only see the floor and the bottom 1/4 of the white house walls. It would be better if they wanted to show off the white house and its decorations to just take pictures of the rooms and then put htem online.

I guess they haven't learned their lesson, have they? No wonder the poor dog feels compelled to bite someone, but I think he's biting the wrong hands...lol! That reporter may have "felt his pain" and only wanted to show him some support and empathy! Annie

See that, X, I'm not without compassion even for members of the Bush clan! Lil, you're sure right; heck, I only have to see or hear Bush now and then and it makes ME grumpy every time...lol! Annie

Well if you were W's dog wouldn't you be grumpy too? I just thought it was a lame idea last year and it is still a lame idea this year.

I don't see anything wrong with the dog wearing a camera as long as it is no more intrusive than a collar would be. They make reality shows about everthing else and I don't see what harm there could be in this, or what political gain could possibly come out of it. I've seen lots of PEOPLE snap at reporters too.

It is a human interest piece so it does give him good press. People are talking about cute barney and his daily treks through the white house and not how low W's approval ratings are.

But just once wouldn't you love to see Barney give his perspective of good places in the White House to lift his leg?

I am sure he too well behaved for that or he would not be allowed to live at the white house.

I agree, I think this is just sad a stupid. I believe we should put a cam on Bush instead, this way we can all see where all of our money is going, and will allow the American people to see what he actually does.

We all know that the tape would be priceless right now, and would never be seen by anyone, anywhere. And, would probably end up with D!ck Cheney.

A camera on bush is not a bad idea. Or at least it would have been eight years ago.

Wouldn't it be easier to just have someone give a tour of the White House with a camera crew. I did not know they attach a camera to a dog, don't think I would want to see it. It does seem cruel.

That is my point. Barney is very short. You are not going to get a very good view of all the christmas decorations. Which is why they do this to him every year. Every year at christmas they put a camera on his collar and then show the white house decorations. It would be a lot easier to just have a camera crew film it instead of filming a month in the life of a white house dog.
