This is Buster my beagle. He had recieved a nice leg of lamb bone recently. He is not allowed to have the bones indoors so he eats them outside. Well he lost it in the snow that fell recently. Here he is sniffing for the bone. He ran around the yard sniffing for it's whereabouts. He would bury his nose in the snow tossing it into the air. AFter awhile he finally found it. In his dog house all that time. Too cute. Does your dog etc like playing in the snow at all? Or maybe even in the rain?

My dog is not old enough to have been around the last snow we had but I can tell you he don't like the rain much. He runs out, gets his business done and heads back indoors. My cat loves the rain, I know she is weird and she don't know that cats don't like water but she wants out when it rains, then she will have her fill of it and want back in.
My daughter's boxer loves to play in the snow, you can make snow balls and throw them and he will try to catch them in his mouth.

Buster is indifferent on the waqether usually. If it's real nasty he does his business right by the door then wants in right away. Most times he runs and lies in his doghouse out of the waether if I don't hear his bark to be let in. Buster is hilarious watching him try to pick up a snowball. He is afraid it seems but does end up eating them for their water content.

If only animals could speak hey! What a wonderful sight and I bet he gave you a lot of amusement! Our cat is a right madam and she refuses point blank to go out in the snow and she looks at you and meows as if to say it's your fault it's raining now go and make it stop otherwise I will use my tray instead of going out and that will be your fault to clean it so there! She sits at the window and has a strop! Animals give us so much pleasure don't they, at least Buster found his lamb bone in the end LOL!

He loves chasing snowballss as well. It's hilarious watching him try
to pick it up after I throw it. He is funny to watch playing in the
snow etc. If it's really nasty outsiude he runs to his doghouse before
he gets the courage to venture into the nasty weather.

That is too cute. I love dogs and cats as well. They are so much fun to watch with such different personalities. We have a cat that is just full of herself. Her cat food is kept on the desk the computer in on (very large desk) She gets 1/3 can of wet food twice a day but the dry food is always on the desk. She is very good of reminding us that it's time for her 1/3 can. She takes a piece of dry food and spits it out on the mouse pad if I am on the computer. She sits and waits for a minute and if I don't get up she does it again. She repeats this until fed. She never does this any other time of the day and it's recent behavior. The first time she did it I just looked at her and said "are you serious??" Appearently she is.

We don't have snow in major cities in my country Grandpa Bob so I have never even seen it, let alone any dog I have owned! But your story about him and his bone does remind me of a time when I was a child and my Parents gave our standard poodle a big bone for Christmas as well. My Sister and I woke up on Christmas morning and our dog was outside in the courtyard gnawing on this bone. No big deal really, but my Parents thought it would be amusing to tell us that our dog had caught one of Santa's reindeer and had already finished most of it!
At the time we were horrified, but when I look back on it now, it's pretty funny.

How cute! My two hide when it's raining. Buddy is usually huddled in his blankets in his house. And lately, Snuggles has taken to digging her trenches again under the boat and hiding there. I swear when we go to take it out next year it's going to fall in the holes she's made!

OMG I was the wimpiest dog around. Petie will not go out if there is dew on the grass he does not like to get his feet wet. He will poop on the cement because the grass might be wet. Now Daisy May will get wet it does not bather her, she will walk in the water or mud in the gutter. I think she will be swimming in the pool with me this summer.
I will comment on your photo and rate it once I post this discussion. Did you get rid of your troll

Hi grandpa Bob..
Way to funny..My boxer loves to play in the snow and the rain...I throw her ball and she runs to get it..Of course I can't have it right away...she has to growl and tease me, then she will drop it...

We rarely have snow. We have only had it once on the ground since we got him. He just looked and sniffed it like WHAT is this!
There are times he refuses to go out in the rain unless he really has to go! When he does he comes and stands on the rug , waits for me to get his towel, then when I get his back dry, he rolls over and sticks his feet up for me to dry. So, I don't think he is really that fond of it!

As much as my dog loves playing outside, she will never play in snow because we live in Australia and unfortunately it doesn't snow here. She loves running around in the rain, especially in the winter time; she'll get all wet and then sit there and freeze!

Willow hasn't seen snow yet but she's not too fond of the rain. She seems to hate getting her hair wet! She always manages to make us feel guilty when she comes in but then thinks being dried off with a towel is great fun.
We have only twice lived in an area thar got much snow and the dog we had then loved it! He was a flat-coated retriever and to see him trying to carry a snowball was really funny. I don't think he could understand why it melted.
Buster looks very happy hunting! He's a super looking dog and I'm sure he makes you laugh a great deal.

Hey Grandpa Bob! Wow! Look at Buster go! He looks just like
a real hunting dog in this picture! I'm glad he finally
found his bone! That's a nice amount of pretty white snow
you got there! I'm glad Buster had fun playing outside!
I haven't had a dog in years. But, when I did my dog didn't
like getting his paws wet! He liked the snow a little, but
hated going out in the rain! We had to pull him out of the
house and then he wouldn't do anything!

all of my dogs love to play in the snow- it seems to invigorate them- but my sable collie Absolutely loves it! he loves to eat the snow so he loves it when you throw snowballs at him and will bury his nose in the snow looking for the snowball that just "disappeared there" and start eating it instead. sometimes he actually come in with his teeth chattering because he "enjoys" it too much..lol

Animals are so funny sometimes. My huskies love the snow! They are in their glory when the snow is falling! Hero is still inside but he might get to go out tomorrow and enjoy the snow for a little bit. Trying to keep him calmed down a bit until he heals. Here in Ohio the ice is falling fast and furioous right now , supposed to change to snow after midnight. Princess ( Hero's mom) is in her doghouse for now. I don't think she is that thrilled about the ice and neither am I! LOL
