Took my two foster kittens into the adoption center on Saturday. When we left at 1 PM there hadn't been any adoptions at all and no phone calls all weekend. So when we went back in on Sunday, we though maybe neither one had been adopted. Got there Sunday right at 5 and they were both still there but Nancy's card said "I'm taken". So the girls went over and said goodbye to here just as her new family came over to take her home. She's a little sweetie, hope they'll be really good to her. But we got to take Jason home (I have a little soft spot for Jason). He'll probably get adopted next weekend but I do get to keep him for another week!

That's great dawnald! It has to be tough giving them up but it's for a greater cause. How many do you have of your own or are you strictly fostering? Maybe Jason will get a lttle extra attention for a week?

Jason is getting a LOT of attention. I have three adult males and then three foster kittens (two now that Nancy is gone). I'm sure tempted to keep Jason though...

The kittens have been here for 3 months, other than a wee bit of growling from the older two, no signs of aggression whatsoever from my older cats.

lol..I thought maybe he was. I was thinking maybe Jason was already home too. Anyway,if he does get adopted and you don't keep him,I'm sure it will be by special people.I don't think you'd have it any other way. Are your other cats ok with you bringing new ones in? I know they can be very territorial.

I am so glad to hear that Nancy got adopted to a good home. I know that Jason will get adopted very soon.

It is so nice of you to have foster kittens. My heart would be broken to have to say goodbye if i like them. I would take some animals for fostering if i am at home all the time. Also, with my dogs and cat alone at home, hard to trust them with foster visitors....

It's hard not to get attached when you've had them a long time. The kittens got sick so I had to keep them longer than I had originally intended.

Its hard to give up animals. I have had litters of kittens and puppies both. Giving them away or taking them somewhere to be given away is hard, but its the best so they can be taken care of.

Yeah the family that adopted Nancy seemed nice. Going to be harder for me to give up Jason though. And then there's Diego (not neutered yet because he's been sick). I hope somebody really special adopts Jason!
