They will be playing in the Independence Bowl...just got the alert by email from the Alumni Association. I know I will be waching and hopefully will be able to because ESPN is one of the sponsors.... They will be playing against Lousiana Tech. ANd anyone who has ever known or ever been a Huskie...the football team has not always been so great. I remember my sophmore year a lot of people joked about our football team...and that year I cannot remember right now who we played, but it was televised. I decded to stay home and study and watch it on tv. I got to see my roommates on tv and I noticed we were winning...so I called my mom in KY and she watched it with me....we won the game. It was the first win in 2 years (if I remember correctly)....like I said we were rough there for awhile. So I have to say good luck to my HUSKIES....because once a HUSKIE always a HUSKIE...and it goes without saying HUSKIE LOVE!!!!! Maybe if they win in a little Pub called Molly's (My favorite drinking hole in DeKalb, IL) they might play "Who let the Dogs out!" I have to say I still can jam to that even though it is out of style. So to all the fellow Huskies out there, you gotta favorite football memory? WHat about the tailgaiting, huh? ANd molly's? ANd bloody mary's for breakfast at Fat Tuesday's?
