How many times have you put your foot in your mouth?

I have many times. My mother and I were talking about Thanksgiving dinner. My mother made the turkey and my sister did the rest. My mother asked me before I was leaving her house if I wanted to take anything home, I said no, because I did not like anything. Later on, we were talking again about it and I said, boy the gravy was horrible, and my mother said, I made the gravy. I could only laugh and tell her I was sorry. Another time, my husband was the manager of a game room store. I worked with him for a while for the christmas season. There was a horrible bird cage with a phoney bird in it. One day, I asked him if anyone had bought the bird cage, and he said yes, I did. The silly bird cage was in the trunk of his car, and he was going to give it to me for a Christmas present. I am glad I said something, because he was able to return it. How about you, what have you said?
