Hello srikandi19! My internet connection is smart broadband. It is unlimited and we paid 999 pesos per month. So far, the service is very good. I got disconnected sometimes but it rarely happened. But they said that it still depends on the location. It's just that I am lucky enough because my place is near in smart tower.

I think 999 pesos would likely be $20 a month. It seems that your internet connection is not that really expensive there.

hi there srikandi! i wonder why your connection is slow and unstable... what type of connection do you have? DSL, Cable, T1 or wireless broadband? maybe you need to fix some settings in your broadband modem, or better yet, call your customer support so that they can send someone to fix the settings of your broadband modem. broadband modems are expected to be a lot more reliable as a fast internet connection provider compared to wireless internet. anyways, in my case, here in the Philippines, i use a wireless broadband provider called "Smart BRO". this is the wireless broadband subsidiary of the GSM network called Smart Communications. i wanted to have real DSL (the wired DSL from the national carrier PLDT), but the folks at PLDT said that we could not have DSL connection installed because the house's phone lines were fibre-optic. their DSL technology requires the traditional copper wires. so i had to choose the next best thing: wireless broadband internet. internet speed is just at 364kbps, but at least it's unlimited and not very expensive, just 799 pesos (around $18 per month). and fortunately, instead of slowing down, the inconsistency of the service results in me getting 500kbps to 600kbps! =) and it's good that since 2007, their service is much more stable than before. thanks and more power to you! =)

Thanks for the info. I very appreciate it , I use wireless broadband modem. My Internet Service provider is Indosat ( operator phone from my country ). I can choose unlimited packet with 56 kilo bytes per second , that is just $10 or classic packet with speed connection up to 256 Kbps. All packet can coverage 3G area. In the case , my area just GPRS. can't support 3G or 3.5

HI, I think we have the same problem here. Although it said to be broadband, but sometime the speed drop down to dial up. It is really frustrating when the speed drop, but hey what can't we do? all of the Internet in our country have the same behavior. Just enjoyed it while it last. BR.b

Hi srikandi19,i have an usb modem since i access internet from my laptop and have to visit various places, due to my work.If you access net from your home go for the best available ISP.i also experience the problems of slow and unstable connection as my net speed depends on how near i am to the tower of my ISP provider.
