I have real bad insomnia. I work two or three nights a week a the bar so I usually don't get home until two thirty three oclock in the morning. Now i have major insomnia. Every night I stay up until four or five in the morning even when I don't have to work. Then I get up in four hours or so when my daugher wakes up. I don't understand why I can't sleep, my schedule is all messed up. I don't take any kind of sleep medication or anything in fear of not hearing my daughter at night. Anyone have any sleep remedies? What do you do to fall asleep at night? Is there anything besides sleep medication to help you fall asleep at night?

When you are not working, try to relax and wind down about an hour before going to bed. Have a hot bath, and add some relaxing smellies with lavender. Camomile tea is a natural herbal tea which is known to aid rest and sleep, so why not try a cup of it whilst wrapped in your dressing gown after that hot bath. Don't watch exciting or violent TV late at night because it will get the heart racing and it will be difficult to relax afterwards. And although it sounds difficult, you need to stop thinking about how you need to get to sleep, the more you worry, the worse it will get. Sweet dreams :)
