a couple go dutch for 37 years ...

hi, guys! i read funny news just now...a couple insist on going dutch for 37 years including all the expense of daily life. they began to do so since they fell love with each other 37 years ago and continued after they got married, and totally they had written a record of all the bills in 5 thick notebook till today..what's more amazing is they both felt loved from each other because they never had quarrals with each other during that long years..a pity for the husband is he hadnn't bought his wife a gift to speak of.. i think its good for couples to be financial independent, but they are acting a little overhead in my opinion..so what do u think of them? do u reckon they really love each other?

well they could have gone dutch for the billing and mutual spending that they have done but for the presents they could have done that independantly or they could have also decided on a budget for the gift and they had to stay in that particular limit and buy a gift for their partner..... not being able to buy a gift for the one you love for now 37 years is absolutely crazy..... but i think this is a fantastic idea... i have a boyfriend but i do most of the spending for the both of us.... but now come to think of it i think i would also like to go dutch though i wouldnt tell him not to buy me something he wants to buy for me..... i think ill try it out though i dont think it will really work but i can defiantely give it a try for a couple of days .... we have a long distance relationship so when we are together next i am sure im going to tell him about this..... thanks

this seems to be a wonderful arrangement that works for them. Maybe other couples should follow this. It might solve many problems. Cheers!!

I also find the news is interesting. I have a different opinion about it. I think when two people get married, they become to be one, including the finance. There is not you and me. You are a family. My husband gives me all his income and I am responsible to deal with our finance. Such as paying for the bills, purchase etc. I love China

It is interesting. I want my husband to pay for all the things we buy (atleast in public), I will give him some money for the daily expenses as soon as I get my salary.
