How often do you do your laundry?

I usually only do my laundry once a week. I can get away with it right now. I don't know how long I'll be able to do it that way. Right now I can. :-) It saves on electricity right now.

I do my laundry either when my hamper becomes full or if I want to wear something that is in the hamper. It's usually about once a week. I have 3 hampers so that I don't have to sort it out later. Which ever is full will get washed.

I do laundry every few days. I don't try to do all of it a once, just a load here and a load there. I am very fortunate to have a washing machine and a dryer in my home, so I can wash as often as I have a load of laundry that needs washed. When I had to go to the laundromat to wash, then I would go once every week to week and a half and do all the laundry at once. I do try to have a full load of laundry when I wash, because I do think that save on electricity.

I did the landromat scene for about 6 months when we moved into our second apartment. I tried doing it every week, but I had to wait for two weeks for some reason, and I found that I used about the same amount of money doing it every two weeks as I did every week. So I just got on a schedule where I did the laundry every two weeks, after my husband came home from his long hauls. He was a truck driver, and away two weeks at a time. I was ecstatic when we got our first washer and dryer. When we ordered it, I just let my laundry snowball until it came it. It took me like a week to do it since we had an apartment size washer and dryer, but hey, I could do it at home. lol When I do do laundry though, I do full loads. I don't want to do any more washing than I have to. :-)

I do mine every other day that way I know I have work clothes for the next day. And it makes it alot easier other than having it pile up and look nasty in you're room or wherever. I just like to keep clean and keep up on the clothes!

I would rather use a few pennies of electricity than use old nasty smelly towels for a week! or let smelly socks lay around for that long stinkin up (of course you can't smell your own) the whole house. We do laundry about every other day here, just one load takes care of it. When I lived by myself, laundry was not so much, so I prolly went about a week between washes too. When the kids lived at home, laundry was an everyday chore. My son thinks like you - that he is saving electricity by not doing laundry often, but it just makes his apartment stink!

Actually, we don't use the same towel for the entire week. We have enough towels that we can use a new once like twice a day and never get the same one. I just put all the laundry in the baskey in the laundry room, then I toss it in the washer on Wed or Thur. Now, I do do laundry during the time if I need to for some reason...like if my work uniform really needs washed or something, but other than that, I don't usually have to.

I normally wash clothes twice a week, sometimes three times every two weeks. It depends. I don't think I can spare the time washing clothes daily . Right now, I am thinking leave out several clothes and put those hardly worn ones away in order to cut down my washing burdens.
