Is it wrong to have a relationship with a close relation, in my culture, I know they call it a taboo, they can even kill the people involved, but what happened in the bible days, where only few people are around and cousins and nephews got married to themselves.

I think most countries frown on people have relations with close family member. You have to understand genetic somewhat to understand. In the early bible days the people Had a bigger gene pool. As time went on that gene pool became more diluted. so that we all have fewer of the same genes. I understand this in my mind but I'm not real sure how to explain it. With each generation children with birth defect becomes a greater risk. I hope that explains it somewhat.

Oh yes I think I understand it, so it is not just a culture or supersition thing but that their is a biological explanation to it. Thanks a lot

i think what ever culture you are from it is frowned upon. i don't know whether its fact or fiction but having children with your close relations can cause the child to have birth defects and in the bible days is not something we can count on as factual. so from me a resounding YES it is wrong.

I believe is wrong, and for the sake of the unborn baby it should be discouraged
