Even got my husband to fill out two cards when he got up at 6AM. Did the ones where people sent to us, now I have to get going on the ones for people who can't send to us like people in nursing homes and so on.
One person sent us a letter and I want to send one, too. They had a rough year, but they made it sound funny. "There was a miracle this year and we could afford a new roof, the neighbors are rejoicing!" That's an example. I think that's cute. I don't have much time, so I have to get going and get them all done. Then move on to cleaning, wish me luck! I hope that if I don't get a chance to wish you Happy Holidays between now and when you celebrate yours that you all have wonderous holidays. My husband has some interesting plans for X-mas, but with this weather, I think it won't work. Outdoor barbecue for X-mas. Some years, we could have done it, 50 degrees in winter, up here, lots of people use and outdoor or at least a porch barbecue. But last night we had serious cold and wicked winds. But you never know, our weather is changeable, maybe we'll get balmy breezes for X-mas. One can only hope. Take care

Hey writersedge.
Wow, starting a day at 2 a.m.? I don't think I've ever done that. And working on holiday cards to boot, now that's impressive. I know what you mean about feeling like you just have to get them in the mail. I sent 61 this year with over half getting individual letters enclosed. It's the only time I communicate with former co-workers and old friends who live far away, so I feel compelled at Christmas time to get them done.
Thanks for the Happy Holidays wish. Yes, I'm late and the holidays are way past, thankfully. I've been so very busy that I can barely answer any myLot discussions at all. I'm teaching at the local college this semester and I haven't taught in 15 years or more. All the technology makes me a nervous wreck!
Anyhoo, hope you got to have that Christmas barbecue that your husband wanted. Hope you are enjoying a peaceful new year.

We had a barbecue grill plate that goes in the oven, so he sort of barbecued.
Since getting menopause, I awaked quite often and can't go back to sleep, so I might as well do something useful. Thanks and take care.

Wow! That's roller coaster weather like we had last spring. Drives you crazy because you can never get used to the temps. Take care

We have 5 inches of snow right now, 31 degrees before sundown, tonight's low will be 9 degrees. Christmas is supposed to be similar. Take care

You are such a busy person. Don't know how you keep up with your schedule. I didn't send cards this year or last year. Just got to be too much trouble. I make calls, send emails or see friends and relatives during the holidays.
An outdoor bar-b-que sounds like fun as long as it's not extremely cold and snowy. A few drinks outside by the warmth of the fire will keep the bones warm..lol Your weather is far worse than ours even though we are experiencing a cold snap right now, snow and ice.

I hope my husband has a nice holiday. His hearing is sooo much worse right now. It seems like in the last 6 months, he's really lost his hearing. Not sure if the job is so much noisier or what the problem is.
Take care

My fiance and I don't send out holiday cards, but it's a nice gesture. Sounds like you have your hands full, huh? Merry Christmas to you! Don't work yourself ragged!

We do because some people are sooo busy that it's the only time of year that we hear anything from some people. Take care
