Why is someone always getting in or out of their car at the same time as me?

I'm probably just crazy, but I find that whenever I pull into a parking space, or go to my car with groceries, or try to get in or out of my car in a public lot the only other person also trying to do get in or out of their car, is right beside me!!! The entire lot could be empty, but there is always someone mucking about in thier backseat or trunk, or making 8-10 attempts to straighten their car RIGHT BESIDE ME!! I'm probably self-focussed or just plain insane. But has anyone else suffered from this phenomena? :)

lols, dude! I have not, but I have an experience to share here.. Just as few weeks ago, I went shopping with my mom. After shopping, we headed back to our car. I was already seated in the car, when my mom spotted this scratch, BLACK COLOURED scratch at the side of the car. so she left her car door open, and went to inspect that scratch. At the same time, there was this black coloured car parked beside us, and a lady (the owner of the black coloured car) was just about to enter her car. my mom was kinda blocking her way, because the gap between our car and that lady's car was quite small. That lady saw our car door opened, and that lady didn't even say a polite 'EXCUSE ME'. Instead, this was what she said, "excuse me, do you want to get into your car? because i want to get into MINE." my mom didn't talk back at her though...what for get into trouble or an argument over such small matter, right? *sigh..people these days are getting very bad mannered..

LOL. That woman totally could've been me. Although, usually I stand by my car with a pained, feigned patient smile on my face. Once I said, "Do you need some help with that?" If they take absolutely forever, I say, "Excuse me, would you mind if I squeezed by into my car?". HOWEVER, sometimes people SEE You standing there and just don't care. You can wait on their leisure while they finish a long conversation or sort the CDs in their car with the door open. In your case, I would've said to the women, I'll be happy to let you by after you give me your license and registration numbers, because I'm going to report this car accident to the authorities so my insurance can fix this scratch your car so obviously put on mine. :)

oh, no no, don't get me wrong...My mom wasn't in her way or anything. she just bent down to inspect that scratch on the car. furthermore, my mom didn't even realize that the lady was standing there because that lady was behind my mom...and, my mom wasn't even lingering there or anything. You should've heard that lady's tone when she said "excuse me, do you want to get into your car? because i want to get into MINE". The way she said it was like she was the president of the country or something, like SHE had the priority to get into her car before my mother. WHAT IN THE WORLD?!
