So my mom grew up with blonde hair. Around 20 her hair started going brown. Now its brown as it gets. My hair is blonde but the laste couple of years my roots have been dark and everywhere else is blonde. People think it looks like i dye my hair. I have before but a long time ago. So should i just dye it the color it is trying to take on or should i just highlight the roots blonde?

My suggestion would be to highlight your roots and keep your hair blonde. Although natural blondes look so neat. I've always been a blonde and still am, even at my age. It's a darker blonde but no gray. I am very fortunate. One of our kids is already turning gray so she colors her hair. I do highlight my hair since it's so baby fine and it gives it body but don't have to do anything with it.

I'd let it go natural. I like unusual things like that. It gives you a unique look.
