i was working on a project using internet yesterday and suddenly my system became off. i thought initially may be some wires are loss or something like that. but i couldn't find any problem with it.i had to do the project so quickly i went to my uncles house to do it. how ever the system id OK now i took it to the repairer. he told me there was some failure in the ram slot. what ever that be, i don't like when my favorite system let's me down.

Instead of saying "My system let me down", I would rather say I had not been taking care of my system. To be honest, I have not been doing much to maintain my computer and I will not blame it for failure unless it was like a couple of days out of the box. I think how well your system can perform to its directions depends on how well you treat it. Happy MyLotting...

Computers are made up of many parts, it's only time before one of those parts develops a fault or fails altogether. When you own a PC, you should accept that your PC needs repair work from time to time.
RAM stands for Random Access Memory, which is what a PC program uses to temporarly store data on. I won't go into details but generally the more RAM you have, the smoother (and sometimes faster) your computer will run.
If you educate yourself in computers, you can diagnose problems yourself. There are programs available such as Memtest that enables you to test your RAM to see if it's faulty.
My computer goes wrong around once a year, but when it works, it works wonderfully!
