We gathered for dinner at either a friend's house or a restaurant, and after that, moved to a hotel or club, where they had countdown celebrations! There was a lot of whistling, fireworks and loud music - to usher in the new year!

I have never join in the crowd and doing countdown yet, maybe I should try to celebrate my new year eve that way some day!

Time is flying by, that's for sure. Every new years seems to disappoint me. I wish I could be with people every year but I am usually alone. This year might be different as my girlfriend and I have been invited to a party. I hope everybody stays safe though. At least if you go out and drink, make sure you have many friends with you that are responsible. I know if I get drunk, I'll be getting more drunk then usual. It's always good to have caring people around you.

For about the last 3 or 4 years we have stayed home due to the fact we really don't have any money to spend after the Christmas holiday. One day I would love to go somewhere for New year's eve like Las vegas or stay downtown and see the fireworks. This year won't be any different due our financial situation. but like always we will make the best of it and have a great time.

ryzach, I guess it must be very pretty at Las Vegas and I am sure your wish will come true one day. Wishing you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance. :)

14? No way, that's two weeks. Christmas feels like it's a long way off. It can't be only 14 days! But I believe you! Wow, I didn't even think about resolutions yet. I think it would be a great time to think about that. Thanks for telling me! I think I want to continue on my quest to be more open and to learn to socializing with other people, because there has to be a few people who I haven't met here who I would never regret talking to. Though a lot of people here just make me confused and completely don't get what I am trying to say! I know I have a lot more to do, though.

Sheepie, yes, I know it is hard to accept the fact how time flies! You are such a joker. Like your creative way of response to this topic. Enjoy yourself with the remaining day in 2008! :)

Well, I am thinking of going wild on that night and go for excess fun. Will party all night and see if I can get any chick to get along with ;)

At our house, we don't have that big of a celebration for the new year. We - me, my sister, my mom, and my dad - usually sit in front of the TV and watch the timer and the news channel until midnight. Our family isn't that big of a fan of parties, so we just have a family sit-down and talk.

oXAquaXo, guess what? I love to spend new year eve alone. And refresh back what have I done in the pass one year and sometimes, I wrote letters to friends!
