Do you add just anybody on Myspace?

Personally, I tend to add only people I actually know on myspace. Occasionally I will add a band, but there are only a few I have added. There are a couple of actors I have added as well. But, I just hate it when people hit on me when it's bluntly visible on my profile that I'm in a relationship. I don't understand that. But anyway do you have any standards for who you add?

I used to only add people I knew personally, but now that I've added super pets, I'll accept those people as well since it benefits us both. It's a stupid app, but I have fun doing it. I never send friend request out for super pets, but I will approve them if they send me a request. Other than that, I am personal friends with everyone else. I find no benefit to have a thousands of friends on myspace. I only want the people I will actually keep in touch with.

I'm kinda picky who I add to my Myspace page. My page is private. Bands try to add me as a friend all the time and if I don't know who they are or if I don't like their music I'll deny them. I'm into the paranormal and I have a lot if paranormal groups asking for my friendship on myspace and I sometimes approve them if they have a great website with interesting stories and pictures. If somebody sends me a message telling me whey they want to add me and if they seem nice I will add them if we have something in common. If I have a friend here on Mylot who also has a myspace page I will add them on myspace as well. Right now I have 4 pages of friend request on Myspace I haven't checked out yet. I'm usually on MyLot more then Myspace anymore.

Those sound like pretty reasonable standards. My page is private too heh. And yeah once in awhile i have added people who just want a friend if we have something in common, but i think i just end up deleting them after awhile especially if contact is lost. I'm tryin to be on this site more than myspace, but recently school was in the way.

I only add people I know as friends on myspace. My page was set as public, but I have gotten strange people requesting to be my friend. Now it is set to private and I can control who I can accept to be added as my friend.I also have a couple of bands as friends.I did have a couple of people hit on me but I ignore them, then they took themselves off of my friends list.

Sometimes I add people that I know and also people that I just met on world of warcraft and then I have also added people that sent me a message I like to have alot of friends I feel like I can never have to many friends at one time since they are not on at the same time.

When I first got myspace, I was in middle school and was one of those kids who thought the more friends you have on myspace, the cooler you are. So I would add lots of random people, most of them I saw once or twice in school but just never really talked to. Now, I add my friends and only my friends. If someone adds me who I don't know, I accept and attempt to start a conversation. Do you know me? Do you want to know me? I find it fine if they want me as a friend, not just another person on their myspace. If they never talk to me, I delete them.

good point, i can relate to deleting someone if they do not talk to me regularly

I used to only add people that I know but now I try to network more since I have a business also if someone has similar interests as me.
