Decrease in the number on my star

Hi all.. Yesterday the number on my star showed a 6 but today it started with 5 and now it is 4. Can anybody help why it is decreasing and what is its effect on my posting as well as earning? What i should do to improve it? Please give specific suggestion rather than using some general phrases like 'post quality discussion/response' or 'post images' etc.

Sorry to know that,my case is vice versa i started with 4 thn moved to 5 and now on 6.Its just how people rate us.Suppose we annoy somebody or share a different opinion in a discussion people can rate us - and the rating come down.However it has nothing to do with earnings.I personally would have loved the mylot people giving the ratings to make some sense out of it.

Hi friend aakay4u.. thanks for having sympathy for me like a true friend. it may have nothing to with earnings bur it feels bad to see my ranking go down. shall try to improve upon it with help from friends like you..

ya buddy can understand myself as i didnt know to get happy or sad.when i got a star got happy but with ranking of 4 had felt very bad.i cudnt understand a diff of opinion encourages a user to give a negative rating.thats vry unsportsmanlike attitude.dont worry just keep on mylotting and the best way is not to care abt all these.

im not quite sure. have you been posting a lot or spent days off here? i started out not being able to stay away and posted every day. then was off here for a while due to obligations and mine went down.

Hallo bunnybon.. in my case perhaps it is not going off for some days, it may be posting a lot. On last two days i posted a lot of responses. if that be the reason i shall remain aware of it...

..The most evident and obvious cause or reason to said decrease of star reputation is that SOMEONE MIGHT HAVE RATED YOU IN THE NEGATIVE.
What you should do? Post or start a discussion that of good quality - that is with substance and sense. Make it longer more than 5 sentences. Same is through when you respond to toher mylotter's discussions. Make it as if it is your best response. It might not be selected or marked as a best response, but mylot staff and administrator may find it as one of the best. You can earn high on that.
Do not forget to rate positively those who response to your discussion. Keep in tough with your friends. Be careful with what you respond, in short, do not make harsh or offensive response that may offend others that will lead them to rate you in the negative.
When things are going smoothly fine, your earnings will follow to get high.

Hi maean..many thanks for your response and useful guidance. I will follow them to improve my reputation in mylot. Actually i try my best not to make any post which may offend/hurt anyone. if any such thing takes place it is not intentional. but the most difficult thing is that i cannot get any idea so that i can avoid them later.
i also give positive ratings to responses to my discussions and also do it to discussions and responses of some other user it they appear interesting and valuable. as i have rated yours plus.
