Is it right to punish the man who threw the shoe at George Bush?

The reporter who threw the shoes at George Bush in Iraq did a very wrong thing no doubt, but if one sees the agony he was under one can not really blame him for his feelings and anguish at seeing Bush talking big after having killed so many people in his mother land. As per him I suppose George Bush is a butcher who got so many people killed and is worse than Saddam Hussain perhaps. I don't think it will be right to put him or trial. Bush should show magnanimity and ask the authorities to pardon him. What do you all feel?

Lets turn this thing around. What if Iraq had invaded the US and bombed the hell out of everything and killed thousands of people and destroyed millions of dollars worth of property? Then they would impose their form of government on us and dictate what we did and how we did it. That is exactly what the US did to Iraq. I know Sadam was hurting a lot of people but the people had the right to take him out not us. No wonder people world wide hate the US. We can't seen to keep our nose our of anyone's business, especially anyone that has some oil we can gain control of. This crap is causing people to hate me and my family and friends for being Americans and I take that very seriously. Personally I wish our government would stay at home and stop invading other small countries. We have plenty for our government to do right here inside our own borders to keep them busy. Who knows they just might find time to do a little something for the American People for a change. I don't blame the man for throwing his shoes at Bush. I'm just sorry he missed him.

Iam, Yes and there are a lot of people outside our government that are to blame for all this too. The big oil companies and a lot of others use our government as their own personal tools to rip off the whole world. It isn't just the American people that are getting the dirty end of the stick. Borders don't mean anything to these people. The only reason we invaded Iraq is to gain control of their oil. It will probably be Iran next. What we have actually done as we have built the United States is create a monster that will bring the entire world down.

Dear coutrygal, why do you say it is funny? However, I appreciate your spirit and your comment,"too bad no American had the guts to do it".I hope the day is not very far when your people will show the guts.

This man was only expressing his protest and certainly does not deserve punishment for that.( he alredy has a broken arm & a broken rib) If anyone need to be punished, it is the: Security in charge, for not providing bodyguards near the prasident) Event orrganizers for not providing bullet proof glass in front of the president) The man is guilty of only one thing : HE WASTED A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOOT BUSH(ha ha).

Obvious what the reporter did was wrong,he expressed his anger in a improper way,so he ought to be punished, because of nobody got hurt,so the man should get the minimum punishment.President Bush also made mistakes,I think he should apologize to the Iraq people.

Bush did not 'make mistake', my dear cucu, what he has done to Iraq should have been realised by people like you who are so near to vietnam and korea.Or, are you from some other world?
